His new series for de la Spada might just be the best lighting thing Benjamin Hubert has done. The British designer’s always had a great eye for form,  but what I love about these lamps is the combination of light source, form and material as equal partners in the design.

A scheme for a residence where the floor is smoked oak, built-in joinery and wall panelling including the kitchen in oak stained a warm grey.  Calacatta marble tops in kitchen, powder room, ensuite.  The dark laminate is the internal lining of cupboards and drawers.

The finishes palette is for the new home of a family with three young children.  The watery green tile for the children’s bathroom was inspired by the client’s favourite colour.

Gloss finishes draw in the view and make the living room in this tiny converted livestock shelter in the Swiss Alps feel so much bigger than it really is. The stair that seems to merge with the wall has a similar effect.
